What stays on your PC Aeolis reads the files and connected-device items you choose to browse, index, import, edit, or transcribe. The desktop application does not send their contents, filenames, search queries, or transcripts to Neitsch Limited Liability Company. File analysis, optional smart search, and Whisper transcription run locally. The app keeps library records, file paths, metadata, fingerprints, search indexes, thumbnails or previews, settings, backups, and diagnostic logs as needed on your PC. Those records can reveal information about your files. Your PC account, storage configuration, and backup or sync software affect who can access them. An output saved to a cloud-synced folder may be synced by your cloud provider. License, purchases, and support Stripe hosts payment checkout and handles payment details. We use order identifiers, purchase status, buyer name and email, and related transaction information available from Stripe to deliver licenses, support purchases, handle refunds and disputes, and meet accounting or legal obligations. The license key can contain the buyer's name, email, order identifier, and version entitlement. It is stored on the PC and verified locally. Treat it as private. If you contact support, we receive your message and what you choose to send. Review files and logs for personal information before attaching them. Connections you initiate Optional add-on or model downloads connect to the stated publishers or hosts, including GitHub and Hugging Face. They may receive your IP address and ordinary request information needed to serve the download. The Aeolis shop, download, and license delivery pages use Cloudflare hosting. Resend may deliver a license email where email delivery is enabled. Hosting and delivery providers may process network, browser, and delivery information for service operation and security. If you open a file in another application, share it through Windows, or follow an external link, that provider's privacy practices apply. Purposes, legal bases, and disclosures Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process purchase and license information to perform the purchase agreement, use necessary information to comply with legal obligations, and rely on our legitimate interests in responding to support, preventing abuse, and protecting the service where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We share information with the providers needed to carry out those activities and with authorities where legally required. Aeolis does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements apply. Retention and choices Local data stays on your PC until the relevant data is removed. Removing a license in Settings removes the local key. Local catalogs, backups, and exported files may remain after uninstalling. We keep purchase, delivery, and support information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including applicable recordkeeping, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. Your Windows permissions and Offline mode affect what the app can access or download. Your privacy rights Depending on your location, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, or appeal a decision about your request.
